Winch CRABster – Pumped Storage Power Plant – 2×120t 2×15t

In a pumped storage power plant, two CRABster winches are installed, each complemented by an auxiliary hoist. This configuration is designed for the precise handling of generators, stators, and other large components essential for reliable plant operation.

The two cranes operate in tandem with synchronized control, allowing extremely heavy components to be positioned with absolute accuracy and level movement. This is particularly critical during assembly and maintenance, where even minor deviations could affect safety and efficiency.

The energy sector places the highest demands on crane technology: robust construction, precise control, and maximum availability. By combining main and auxiliary hoists, the system not only handles the heaviest components but also provides flexibility for smaller parts. This ensures stability and efficiency of the power grid.
