Winch CRABster – Pumped Storage Power Plant – 1x220t 1x30t

At the pumped storage power plant, a powerful winch is used to lift and position heavy turbine and generator components. In addition to the 220-ton main winch, a 30-ton NOVA auxiliary hoist provides maximum flexibility for handling various loads.

The special challenge lies in the plant’s location deep inside the mountain. Absolute precision and reliability are required to safely position sensitive and extremely heavy components. The crane masters these demanding conditions and makes a vital contribution to the plant’s operational safety.

By combining the main and auxiliary hoist, both large and smaller components can be handled efficiently. This ensures smooth assembly and maintenance work while increasing flexibility in daily operation. The power plant plays a key role in stabilizing the regional energy grid.
