CRABster – Steel and heavy metal industry – 1×40t

A CRABster winsh with a 40-ton capacity is used in a double-girder bridge crane system to safely and precisely move heavy metal components or coils in an industrial hall. The system is designed for demanding applications where robust construction, high lifting capacity, and precise control are paramount – such as in the manufacturing of large components or in-house material handling of flat or round steel.

The hoist used offers the highest operational safety, even load distribution, and maintenance-friendly accessibility. In combination with the specially adapted load handling device, the system enables safe rotation, turning, or repositioning of components under tight hall conditions – without additional transport aids. This solution is optimally aligned with the high demands of the heavy industry and ensures reliable, safe processes with high frequency and system availability.

Our winches from the CRABster series deliver big-time performance in the smallest of spaces and support up to 250 t loads. These compact, solid hoists ease the burden of working with heavy loads and fulfill today’s high demands on classification and hoisting speed.
