The ATHLO chain series is our next generation of electric chain hoists for loads up to 5 t. At the launch of the new series, we are offering this model for loads up to 2.5 t with further options to follow in the months to come.
High security, performance and usability along with easy maintenance and a long service life were all important factors driving its development. The modern design features a newly constructed interior with all-new mechanical components. ATHLO chain can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius.

  • New suspension bracket

    Benefits:

    ATHLO chain ensures optimal space utilization through its highly compact design and improved C hoist dimension. Thanks to the new suspension bracket, the electric chain hoist is highly flexible and versatile.



  • Brake and slipping clutch

    Benefits:

    • Designed to handle 1 million cycles or up to a lifetime (with proper handling)
    • Slipping clutch as overload protection
    • Longer service life through improved cooling

    The slipping clutch features a larger diameter and additional grooves. In the standard version of ATHLO chain, it is installed between the motor and the hoist break in an oil bath. Its location directly behind the motor ensures optimal cooling. It can be adjusted using a fine thread with self-locking system to prevent overload and damage to the hoist, crane or building structure. It is also easy to adjust for higher work safety. When the motor is turned off, the load remains secure and steady without any slipping or slack chain.

    The maintenance-free motor is a new in-house design. Its aluminum housing makes it lightweight. The cooling fan and fins work together perfectly to improve cooling and increase the duty factor by up to 60%. Its 4:1 power ratio guarantees a long service life and enables a better FEM classification.

    The new gear, which is produced in house, is designed to last for the lifetime of the hoist. It offers a wide speed range to support many different applications. The gear offers robust tooth flanks and shafts that work together perfectly.



  • New chain bag

    Benefits:

    • Runs more quietly and smoothly
    • Improved chain inlet prevents accumulation of the chain
    • Improves chain distribution in the chain bag

    The newly positioned chain bag has a highly robust design so the chain hoist is ideally balanced. Thanks to its positioning, the chain is optimally distributed. The chain bag is easy to install and has a modern, space-saving design.



  • New limit switch

    Benefits:

    • Secure deactivation with no wear or tear on the slipping clutch
    • Optimal protection thanks to the position of the micro switch
    • Robust product that is built to last

    The limit switch gently turns off the motor on the upper and lower position to ensure safe lifting and lowering. New pins that trigger the micro switch are integrated in the chain sprocket to guarantee that the limit switch works flawlessly – even in extreme conditions.



  • Hook block, 2/1 reeving

    Benefits:

    • New construction with two ball bearings
    • Longer service life
    • Built for a lifetime with zero maintenance

    The sintered metal has been replaced with a new design featuring two bearings. This guarantees an even higher service life and keeps the chain sprocket running smoothly.

Die Hubwerkseinstufung (FEM/ISO) ist eine Kennzahl die sich primär aus der mittleren täglichen Laufzeit des Krans und der tatsächlichen Last zusammensetzt. Hierbei wird auch berücksichtigt wie oft das Hebezeuge hierbei Höchstbeanspruchungen oder nur geringen Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt ist oder wie viele Starts/Stops erfolgen.

Vereinfacht:
1Am / M4 = Die mittlere tägliche Laufzeit beträgt rund 1 Stunde und das Hebezeug wird häufig höchstbeansprucht und laufend mittleren Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt.

2m / M5 = Die mittlere tägliche Laufzeit beträgt rund 2 Stunden und das Hebezeug wird häufig höchstbeansprucht und laufend mittleren Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt.

Features

We have developed our next-generation electric trolley with a mix of new and proven construction components to guarantee easy assembly and adjustments while lightening the overall weight.

  • Advantages:
    • The new trolley is easier to adjust since it uses a single traverse and no washers
    • Four new adjusting rings on the traverse allow for precise adjustments
    • The new traverse optimizes the rolling behavior since the side plates are no longer screwed together
    • New support roller replaces the counterweight, which reduces the total weight of the electric trolley
    • Adjusting rings with 2 microencapsulated screws ensure easy adjustments and assembly and adapt better to the flange width

  • We offer the new electric trolley for normal headroom (TNM=trolley normal headroom).
    Two designs are available: T10 and T32. T10 supports loads up to 1,000 kg. It is used in ATHLO chain models AA-1 and -2 as well as AB-1 and -2. T32, which is designed for loads up to 3,200 kg is suitable for the ATHLO chain models AC-1 and -2 as well as further models that will be released in the near future.
    Mounting ATHLO chain on the electric trolley is simple thanks to a new suspension bracket. The swinging securing point reduces the polygon effect. Since the new electric motor has fewer parts, assembly is fast as well.
